The article explains the principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter and describes the design of the transducer. It discusses the influence of the measured
fluid on the measurement results and describes the principles of installation of the flowmeter in technological devices. It also gives examples of applications
of the electromagnetic flowmeter in the process measurement in a sugar factory and lists the strengths and weaknesses of this type of sensor in the conclusion.

V článku je vysvětlen princip funkce indukčního průtokoměru a je popsáno konstrukční uspořádání snímače. Je diskutován vliv měřeného média na výsledky měření.
Jsou uvedeny zásady pro montáž průtokoměru do technologické aparatury. Jsou uvedeny příklady aplikací indukčního průtokoměru při provozním měření v cukrovaru.
V závěru jsou ukázány přednosti a nedostatky uvedeného typu snímače.
